Team San Carlo Honda Gresini would like to make the following statement: Marco Simoncelli, an HRC rider competing in the MotoGP World Championship in Team San Carlo Honda Gresini colours, will not take part in any World Superbike races during the 2011 season. Team San Carlo Honda Gresini are preparing a Honda CBR 1000-RR for Marco Simoncelli in order for him to carry out, if he so wishes, test runs at circuits yet to be decided (in accordance with FIM regulations). This statement is being made in order to contradict reports from certain news organisations following the presence of Marco Simoncelli at the Italian round of the World Superbike Championship, which took place at Monza on Sunday 8th May.
